By 2026, the Halle-based band HAND & FUSS will be able to look back on a long and eventful history. A quarter of a century ago, guitarists Ecki Gleim and Christian Stefan (who is originally from Romania) expanded their guitar duo to include the Austrian percussionist Bernd Steiner, forming the trio that has now been revived. From the very beginning, the focus has been on spirited, hand- and foot-crafted music featuring plenty of improvisation and interaction. A diverse range of influences come together, including flamenco, jazz, gypsy swing, the classical guitar tradition, the great Latin American tradition, and even forays into Indian music. The three musicians now incorporate their own compositions into their repertoire, blending them with their arrangements of magnificent classics by artists such as Chick Corea, Carla Bley and Django Reinhardt. For this year’s summer concert in the courtyard of the Händelhaus, HAND & FUSS have invited guitarist Clemens Oerding as a special guest, and the evening promises to be a guitar- and percussion-driven fireworks display of ideas, musical enthusiasm and sounds.

Tickets: Advance tickets are available online and at the museum ticket office. If the weather is fine, additional tickets will be released on the day of the concert from 5 pm. Advance sales start on 16 June 2026.
