A reference for collected knowledge

Whether you are an expert or a simple music enthusiast, the Handel House Foundation library gives you access to all the knowledge of one of the world’s largest library collections on Handel, as well as to the collections on the history of music in Halle and musical instruments.

The collections of recordings, images and books being extremely valuable, the Handel House Library is a reference library. That means that, as a rule, you are not allowed to borrow them. However, you do have the possibility of copying them, or reading them at your leisure, making notes and listening to music at workstations.

The nice thing about it is that the library’s reading room is shared with the city music library and the branch music library of Martin Luther Universität Halle-Wittenberg. That means that you are never far from further sources of knowledge.

Also, do not hesitate to ask our librarians. They can help you find what you are looking for and are glad to supply tips for themes!
