Rüdiger Krause Quartet (Berlin/Leipzig): Rüdiger Krause (guitar, vocals), Jörg Leistner (piano), Daniel Werbach (bass) and Markus Lämmel (drums)

Following successful concert and festival performances, the energetic, grooving quartet led by guitar virtuoso Rüdiger Krause presents a programme featuring new original compositions and highly personal classics. Rüdiger Krause draws inspiration for his atmospheric, melodic pieces not least from his
collaborations with Carla Bley, Steve Swallow, Günther Fischer and Wolfgang Scheffler. The musicians of the quartet complement one another as soloists through the diversity of their improvisational styles. Above all, however, they form an ensemble whose sound is both moving and captivating. A small but significant part of the concert is taken up by Rüdiger’s charmingly sung songs, such as his MDR KULTUR evergreen ‘Now Listen To Me’.

Venue: Great Courtyard (rain alternative: Chamber Music Salon)

Food (barbecue) and drinks available in the courtyard

Tickets: Advance tickets are available online and at the museum ticket office. If the weather is fine, additional tickets will be released on the day of the concert from 5 pm. Advance sales start on 16 June 2026.
