In "Tales from the Thousand and One Nights", Arc of Iris combines Renaissance and Baroque music with recitatives composed especially for the programme by Enno Gröhn, based on texts by Alma Stoye. This creates a musical and dramatic arc centred on the character of Scheherazade, who guides the audience through the narrative.
