Bajo el mismo cielo – Under the same sky
Spanish Mode (Leipzig): Claudia Wandt (vocals), Frank Kaiser (jazz and classical electric guitar), Henning Plank (saxophone, clarinet and accordion), Matthias Ruppnig (drums)
As twilight bathes the sky in gold and the first stars begin to appear, a night of longing and passion unfolds. Spanish Mode takes you on a musical journey from Spain through Central to South America – to a place where rhythms sizzle, voices tell stories and guitar strings streak through the warm summer air like shooting stars. A concert experience full of passion, groove, energy, soul – and a voice that strikes straight to the heart – awaits you. With their musical roots in South and Central America, Spanish Mode bridges the gap between Argentine tango, Latin folk, cancioneras and modern, danceable rhythms. The band brings together a distinctive ensemble: the expressive voice of Claudia Wandt, the guitar virtuosity of Frank Kaiser, and the colourful soundscapes of Henning Plankl on saxophone, clarinet and accordion. With Matthias Ruppnig on drums, the music gains its pulsating energy and irresistible danceability. The result is a sound that is as sensitive as it is explosive.
