"A Look of Burt" is a declaration of love by two musicians to the American composer Burt Bacharach. It is a tribute to the life and work of one of the greatest composers of the modern era, who died in 2023 at the age of 94 and helped shape the music history of the 20th century. The great songs such as "Raindrops keep fallin' on my head", "The look of love" "That's what friends are for" and themes that everyone has known for decades have been freshly arranged by Lora Kostina and they captivate with their modern playing style. Together with Pascal's great voice, Bacharach's songs surprise us anew and prove their timelessness. Pascal von Wroblewsky is extremely active and always surprises with new ideas. She plays in various line-ups, from duo to big band, has hosted her own show on Jazzradio Berlin and has performed on stage with Joe Pass, Dizzy Gillespie and Femi Kuti. Her repertoire includes a wide range of classical standards, contemporary music and her own compositions. The pianist and composer Lora Kostina comes from St. Petersburg. Coming from a classical background, she studied jazz piano with Richie Beirach at the University of Music in Leipzig, where she has taught since graduating in 2003. Her compositions and adaptations of European classical themes from the perspective of contemporary jazz are at the heart of her trio's musical spectrum.
