This extraordinary concert evening, organised by the Musikkulturverein, is dedicated to rarely heard modern song compositions from Central Germany. The songs and song cycles of the three pioneering composers from the Halle-Leipzig region date from the 1920s to the 1960s. They show the struggle for a contemporary musical language, which at the same time remains in touch with the traditional German song repertoire. Simplicity, melodiousness and polyphony unfold an expressive power in the form of high compositional complexity that has lost none of its impact to this day.

Look forward to a special musical evening with the performers Patrick Grahl (tenor) and Klara Hornig (piano)!
