At Home with Bach

More than 250 years ago, Halle was home to Wilhelm Friedemann Bach, who worked as director musices and organist at the Marktkirche here. In the house where Bach’s oldest son once lived, you not only follow in his musical footsteps, you take a journey through time and the entire history of Halle, the city of music. Along the way, you meet a whole series of composers with connections to Halle, such as the king of ballads Carl Loewe, or the local celebrity Robert Franz. This entertaining guided tour is accompanied in music by pianist Jürgen Pfüller, who plays some of the original musical instruments from the Handel House Foundation collections.
