Galgenberg Gorge

The Galgenberg Gorge is the venue for the Handel Festival’s crossover concert “BRIDGES.” Formed from a porphyry quarry, this group of cliffs – some reaching up to 25 meters in height – is located in the north of the city of Halle (Saale). Against this stunning backdrop, 5,000 visitors experience musical bridges between Handel and the todays' music – and a spectacular fireworks display set to Georg Friedrich Handel’s “Music for the Royal Fireworks.”
