Everyone has heard of the mediaeval singing contest at Wartburg Castle. With the poetry slam, the contest returns to the modern stage. After the successes of recent years, in 2023 the slammers will again be submitting their linguistic feats of skill to scrutiny with onstage oral presentations to gain the audience’s attention. Slam is the world of Halle-born Katja Hofmann, who for over the past ten years and more has taken part in countless competitions in Germany and abroad. A small community of motivated artists will ensure high standards of texts and performance – surprises guaranteed.
