It is not solely his crazily agile use of the keys and pedals but also his deep musicality that make Cameron Carpenter’s concerts so unique. His arrangements range from J. S. Bach to Rachmaninov, and orchestras from Los Angeles to Sydney all jump at the chance to engage him. He undertook his first world tour in 2011, for the 2012-13 season he was organist-in-residence of the Berlin Philharmonic – the American organist Cameron Carpenter appeared like a shining comet and since then has never ceased to enthral music lovers. And now his spectacular organ skills can be admired for the first time in Halle too, not only in organ works by G. F. Handel and J. S.  Bach, but also in Modest Mussorgsky’s Pictures from an Exhibition.
