The London Handel Singing Competition has long since become a springboard for international singing careers. It has been held annually since 2002. At the Handel Festival 2023, after a change in the line-up, the winner of the 2016 singing competition will now present himself in Halle: The Chinese countertenor Meili Li has already given numerous performances in Vienna, London, Budapest, Birmingham and Beijing. He will be accompanied by Asako Ogawa from Japan, who has already thrilled Halle audiences in recent years.
