Closed on Mondays (except public holidays and the Handel Festival)

The Handel House is always open on public holidays 

On concert days of the series "Music in the Handel House" the museum is open until shortly before the concert begins.

You have the choice: use an audio tour in which you are automatically guided from room to room, or a mobile information system based on WLAN/WiFi at over 50 points in the exhibitions The use of both services is included in the admission price. The Handel House is a historic building and is therefore only barrier-free to a limited extent. The entrance is barrier-free, the upper rooms of the museum are unfortunately wheelchair-accessible to a limited extent.

In the exhibitions of the Handel House we offer our visitors a mobile information system based on WLAN/WiFi in German and English. At over 50 locations in the exhibitions "Handel - the European" and "Historical Musical Instruments" you can obtain additional information with your smartphone, tablet or similar device via NFC tags or QR codes. You can obtain additional information at over 50 locations in the exhibitions "Handel - the European" and "Historical Musical Instruments" using your smartphone, tablet or similar device by means of NFC tags or QR codes via an easy-to-use audio guide function under "Haendel Museum". No app or additional storage space is required. This service is free of charge for visitors.

In addition, an audio guide is offered free of charge via loudspeakers in German, English, French, Italian and Spanish.

You will receive free and comprehensive WLAN/WiFi internet access in the indoor and outdoor areas of the Handel House under "Haendel-Gast". You do not need any special access data for this. This service is made possible thanks to funding from the Ministry of Economics, Science and Digitalisation.

Working Group Musicians' Museums in Germany

The Händel-Haus Foundation is a member of the Working Group of Musicians' Museums in Germany. It is an association of German cultural institutions dedicated to preserving the heritage of musicians and composers.

The Handel House Foundation is one of 23 cultural beacons. The Conference of National Cultural Institutions (KNK) is an equal-opportunity interest group of 23 nationally significant cultural institutions of different sizes and orientations. The foundation of the KNK on 1 March 2002 in the Francke Foundations in Halle goes back to the so-called Blue Book.
