On June 13, 2026, the Galgenberg Gorge will serve as the stage for BRIDGES, the major open-air crossover event of the Halle Handel Festival. Bonaparte and Super Flu will present new music, which will premiere alongside the Staatskapelle Halle and the Halle University Choir under the musical direction of Christoph Huber. The band Anton & The Dots will kick off the event at 7 p.m.

Bonaparte returns full of energy ahead of the start of their “20 Years of Riot” tour. At the Handel Festival in Halle, Tobias Jundt’s band showcases two distinct sides: a mellow “Quiet Set” and an explosive “Riot Set,” featuring new arrangements performed with the Staatskapelle Halle.

Super Flu is one of the internationally successful acts in electronic music. The duo has its roots in Halle and has developed its own sound, blending club culture with major festival stages—a sound they have already performed with a symphony orchestra. For BRIDGES, they are creating a new track that will premiere with the Halle University Choir and the Staatskapelle Halle.

In addition to world premieres and new interpretations, the program also features works by composer George Frideric Handel. The soloist is countertenor Valer Sabadus, one of the most sought-after performers of the Baroque repertoire on the international stage and recipient of the City of Halle (Saale) Handel Prize.

BRIDGES (formerly Bridges to Classics) is the major open-air event taking place during the closing weekend of the Halle Handel Festival in 2026. Set in the Galgenberg Gorge, a natural amphitheater-like landscape on the outskirts of Halle, the concert offers a unique atmosphere—whether you choose to sit on a picnic blanket you’ve brought along or on the provided seating. Following the concert, which traditionally concludes with fireworks set to Handel’s "Music for the Royal Fireworks” the night will continue with a DJ set by Super Flu. The event is sponsored by Hallesche Wohnungsgesellschaft mbH.
