The London Handel Singing Competition has long been a springboard for international singing careers. It has been held every year since 2002. At the 2023 Handel Festival, the winner of the 2019 singing competition will be among the performers in Halle. The Hungarian mezzo-soprano Eszter Balogh has already numerous appearances in Budapest, Pécs, Vienna, London and Herne to her credit. She is accompanied by Japanese-born Asako Ogawa, who has thrilled Halle concert-goers in recent years.
