Handel composed the six organ concertos grouped together under opus number 4 in a very short period of time as interludes for his oratorios. The innovative combination of organ and orchestra enchanted the audience, as it still does today. With Merseburger Hofmusik, Michael Schönheit presents all six works in the Leipzig Gewandhaus.
