The enthusiasm of the musicians of the renowned ensemble Castor from Halle's partner city Linz can be felt in their interpretations, which are characterized by a special intensity of expression as well as lively and colorful playing. No wonder that the specialists in historical performance practice around violinist Petra Samhaber-Eckhardt have already performed at many important music festivals. In the concert, the ensemble dives into the world of baroque chamber music works - with wonderful verve and revived by the first-class musicians. All compositions allude to different national idioms of musical elective affinities. With music from G. Ph. Telemann and G. F. Händel to F. Couperin and C. Ph. E. Bach, a polyglot musical round dance unfolds.

The evening's dazzling soloist is the excellent, internationally renowned transverse flutist Jana Semerádová, who has already performed several times at the Handel Festival. The musician can be found on the most important European concert stages and festivals (e.g. Bachfest Leipzig, Musikfestspiele Potsdam, Baroque Palace Versailles, Festival de Sablé, Innsbrucker Festwochen, Tage Alter Musik Regensburg, Vantaa Barock, Vienna and Berlin Konzerthaus and Palau de la Música Barcelona). As a soloist she collaborates with renowned artists such as Magdalena Kožená, Sergio Azzolini and Enrico Onofri.
