The WuK Theater Quartier is hosting the Handel Festival for the first time and this premiere promises to be extraordinary. Argentine all-round artist Marcello Nisinman arranges the grooviest hits in the history of music, removes centuries-old patina and in doing so builds a bridge to the 21st century. Stigie larve, the famous accompagnato from Handel’s Orlando, sets the tone for the concert. With her remarkable, deep register, the outstanding Italian alto Candida Guida conjures up the spectres of hell, but also the lyrical and deeply emotional arias from operas by Handel and Mozart. This is how lively early music can sound!
