Current information on tickets purchased for the Handel Festival 2020

Dear visitors to the Handel Festival,

With great regret, the Handel Festival Halle (Saale) 2020 had to be cancelled due to the COVID 19 pandemic. We ask for your understanding that the clarification of the return and refund of ticket costs took some time. We can now offer ticket buyers two options:

1. you donate your tickets or part of them to the future organisation of the Handel Festival Halle (Saale) You will of course receive a donation receipt for the amount donated.
2. on request, you will receive a refund of the value of the tickets you have already purchased less an advance booking fee of 10% charged by the advance booking offices. According to legal requirements and the examination of the state authorities, the Handel House Foundation is unfortunately not able to reimburse these and other additional costs.In both of the above-mentioned cases, we would ask you to fill out the online return form and hand it over to the Handel House Foundation together with the original tickets by 30 September 2020.

Please note: The refund application can only be processed if the original tickets are enclosed with the applications and have been submitted to us. Regardless of where you purchased your tickets, the Handel House Foundation, as the organizer of the Handel Festival, is the only place where tickets can be refunded.

Refunds will only be made by bank transfer. Unfortunately, a cash payment is not possible.

Since the processing will take time due to thousands of tickets, we kindly ask for your patience and understanding if the processing should take a while. In any case, we will process your request as soon as possible.
